Ancient Egyptians used crystals for protection and health. Jade was widely used in China. It was considered that concentrated essence of love was in jade.
Precious stones and “crystals” were also used on the breastplate of Aaron, a high priest and mentioned in the Bible. Most of the names of the
crystals that we use nowadays come from Ancient Greece. ‘Crystal’ comes from the Greek word for ice.
When we wear crystal jewellery we are doing something our ancestors have been doing for generations.
